Investigating the Possibility of the Body in Museum Education
I believe embodiment isn’t simply an interesting possibility for education, nor is it an alternative practice or method: embodiment is.
Whether we choose to acknowledge it or not, to analyze, celebrate, problematise it or not, we are all bodies.
Bodies as whole experiential beings in motion.
The investigation of embodied learning is particularly relevant in art education. Artworks present themselves as physical entities that exist in the same space as we do.
- Should experiences in the visual arts remain visual?
- How can we involve participants' bodies in aesthetic experiences in art museums?

They can set in motion at once a person's reason, senses, emotions, and motor channels of response. move |
